Noob Treasue Hunter Companion for Life

How to make NPC friend for life has never been easrie follow this simple multi step plan (I'm assuming this is a bug by the way).

First get a lockpick and go hunting treasue chests (I was hunting for the Large ones) and undoubtedly somewhere along the way you will find a chest with a noob treasue hunter next to it.

Accidentally attack the noob then break off the attack on him and kill the chest instead. The noob seems to still hate you and even though you are no longer fighting back with him he will continue to attack you. Understandable as that is exactly what I would do to someone who stabbed me with a lockpick.

Kill the chest and loot it - noob still hitting you. Now run down the path to the very lower right portion of the screen and sell your newly found loot to the potion sales guy.

Note the noob will follow you since he hasn't killed you or you haven't killed him. But you are able to run faster then a noob thus you get ahead and away from him - for a while.

Then also notice his amazing ability to walk across the water to get to you.

Then also notice that once he does catch up with you he no longer attacks you he just kinda follows you around where ever you go. Perhaps he is intersted in learning your secret to actually finding treasure loot.

Then take a stroll with you newly found companion through the small 5HP chests along the botton of the map below the water and he follows - several minutes and still no attacks. At this point I assume he is taking notes on my uber chest opening skills.

Hack through the chests one after another with your LP and once you get past the water area with the final lilly pad (heading from the lower right pier area to the lower left along the botton of the map) - the noob will decide he no longer is interest in following you and will run back across the water to go hang out with the noobs again. I'm sure he is bragging to them about all the great things he learned watching me loot chest after chest.

OR SO YOU THINK...

It seems that once he explains to them that you need an LP to open a chest they ask him if he took the one I had from my cold dead hands. I can only assume that he sheepishly responded no - and then they laughed at him. because in a few seconds he is seen again runing back across the water towards me. Only this time he is angry once again and starts attacking me.

I gear up a real weapon and kill the noob.

Easy to repeat on every world.
I have not tried to see how many noobs I could get to follow me like this.
