Little Jimmy bought a Kong Stone for 1.5 million a month ago. Little Jimmy doesn't need/want it anymore. Little Jimmy sells it for 600k. Little Jimmy loses 900k from an item that's stats are the same as when he bought it for 1.5m. Little Jimmy is sad. All players will suffer from this, not just Little Jimmy. |

Little Barzaq needs a kong stone. Little Barzaq buys it for 600k. Little Barzaq makes a handsome 900k profit, and has the item back. Little Barzaq is happy. For every person who looses in the market, someone else gains. Its a zero sum game minus the 3% gamer takes. |

I wish people would wait to talk about economics until.. they knew anything at all about economics. This game isn't called "Junior Marketeering!"; the object isn't just to make that little number next to the gold coin on your screen as high as possible. |

| Dude you have it totally right i couldnt agree anymore. and especially for the junior players who are worried about money and outfit items instead of lvling up. This game has turned into a who can get the most money and awesome rare outfits instead of whos the strongest and grinds more

. But all this talk is getting dumb. The point of the FO market on your side (player) is to get as much money as possible within the laws and standards of the ToS. Everything else is bullcrap.

But that's really not the main use of the market for the majority of players. For your regular, average, not level 75 reborn superplayer, the purpose of the market is to upgrade to better gear via buying it from other players and selling off former gear and lucky loot drops to lower/newer people who need it. Example: I changed my build such that I no longer needed my Ancient Rings of Death. RoD prices had fallen to about half of what I originally paid for them. But I priced them low and sold them anyway - it put me up to enough gold to get something else I wanted. Some players might gnash their teeth and cry, "Oh noes, but I will LOSE 300k!", and then sit around trying to milk the maximum possible sell price out of their items. Perhaps some people think that is the 'smart' way to do it. Or.. you can just sell for whatever someone is willing to pay and get on with your gaming |
