I know for a fact that if Gamer adds to much into the game that it will fail in the future. What I mean by fail is that it will be repetitive about things that you add. You will start adding things that don't really need to be needed. Most likely something that will be cool at first but then it will be boring and lead nowhere. I have played to many games on the computer over the years. They start out great, they have things to keep you busy and will be a while before you can beat it. Then when people start getting towards the end you start adding new things. It keeps people interested even more possibly getting them to buy gems. But when you start adding so many things at once it will destroy the game. This has happened to a couple of games that I have played over the past 2 years. This has also happened to my family. I don't want this to happen to you Gamer I really like this game and I don't want it to end. But just be aware that adding so many things will slowly put the game at risk. I think I remember you saying on a tweet that you are running out of ideas for the game. That's the first sign. If you have a lot of things you want in the game introduce them slowly. Don't have a new item every 2 days. Have maybe 1-2 items per week. The reason I wrote this nice little paper was because I care about this game and I want it to go on for a very long time. I'm not going against you in anyway Gamer, I would never do that. I would hate to see another game leave my life. If you read this and say to yourself this kid is whack please don't post it. I'm caring and not a bad person. I mean I typed this whole thing on my phone for crying out loud. |

My question exactly. Best I can figure is he and his family are all great game makers that added too many things to their games and lives resulting in a failbomb, the effects of which are too horrible to mention. On a note actually pertinent to the conversation, while we dont want the game to come to a standstill (Summer last year anyone?) It doesnt need to explode and overwhelm us all causing it to lose its humble retro rpg roots and simplicity. So +1 to finding a middle ground, whatever that may be. Out of the 885 items in the wiki database, I counted 248 discontinued items. That is ~28% of items that are no longer available to players. This does not include Soon to be discontinued items (about another 20). I would much prefer Gamer to update the old content, fix bugs, fill in gaps in levels, quests and equipment than keep adding anime's that I haven't even heard of into the game. |

If you don't like an item, you don't have to buy it - and the game for you will be basically the same as if it never existed And anyway, when we're talking about, say, The Story of FO / Blue Cheese, these are for all practical purposes the same item. Seems there's a category of 800-gem priced item with +30 stats / +10 luck. Currently two such items, and perhaps there will be more. (I'm hoping.) If there is a continued offering of such items, the specific version you have is really just a matter of interest for collectors. What keeps a game like this from 'going stale' is primarily new areas, and it sounds like these are in development. Adding some new items isn't likely to take away much time from this work, so there's really nothing to complain about. Some people like it, and it probably helps with the gem sales that keep this game running for all of us Personally I like the idea of "super equipment", i.e. equipment that is considerably expensive or difficult to obtain but has excellent stats. Would be cool if new areas were so difficult that you really need this sort of equipment to survive there, so you can't just automatically move on to the new area once you've completed the one before it.
