1. Who develops Fantasy Online?
Gamer controls the server, programming and coding, Lucky produces sprites and graphics, Lori creates all the item descriptions and NPC speech.

Yes. Fantasy Online is free forever, however donations would still be appreciated to take care of server costs e.t.c.

7. Why is my character level 1 again?
This question is irrelevant. Constant resets are over, now that Open-Beta is out.

8. What is the Logger?
The Logger is a program that has many functions to support your game play. It was originally developed to help balancing the game. However, its functionality has grown and currently it supports character upload to the ranking on the fansite, map recording, a gamelog, and video recording.

9. The Logger doesn't work!
The Logger can only be used when playing through this link with Firefox. If it still doesn't work please try updating your firefox to the latest version.

10. What are Gems and what are they for?
Gems are currency bought with real money, to help support server costs and they can be used in-game to purchase premium items, like extra bags and XP Potions. Gems do not have to be bought! Obtain them by doing surveys or signing up to services on the Add Gems page.

11. How can I upload my character to the ranking?
When the Logger is running, make sure the icon in the right on the taskbar at the bottom of your screen is green. Right click on it, and select Upload Character. Your character's Level, XP and Coins will then be instantly uploaded to a public database availiable on the Fansite.

12. Why can't I log in?
Your username and password are incorrect, or the server is going through a reset/reboot or is down. If the game won't load you may need to update or download Flash Player.

13. Do I lose XP or Coins or Gems when I die in-game?
You do not lose any XP, Coins or Gems when you die.

14. How do I get Gems?
You can obtain Gems by playing the game on the Fantasy Online Facebook, and clicking on the Add Gems tab.

15. I don't have an account and I can't register!
You can register here.

16. I'm a huge fan of the game and I want to contribute!
You can easily contribute to the game by making an account on the Fansite and improving the Databases there, or you can submit your own thoughts on improving the game in this thread. If you want to create artwork feel free to post some samples on the web site and the developer team might be in contact with you. Don't expect anything though. Most stuff is already covert. There is especially no need for coders!

17. How much XP do I need to level 100?
Using this thread and the table on it, you can find out that the XP needed for every level from 2 to 100. The XP needed for level 100 is 436000!
You can also find the XP needed using the formula:
exp_tnl = 40*(cur_level^2+9*cur_level);

18. What do I do if there is something wrong with one of the Databases?
Change it! You can easily make an account (same as your FO username and password) and change it. Once the changes have been reviewed by an administrator on the Fansite as acceptable, it will be accepted. You can change it by clicking on it and pressing the Edit button.

20. I experienced a bug! What should I do?
Make a new thread in the Bugs section of the forums, with a relevant title, and, in detail, explain exactly what happened when the bug occured, providing screenshots if necessary.

21. I don't like my hairstyle! What can I do?
Unfortunately, you cannot change your hairstyle unless there is another reset, so choose a character model that you like! A change appearance potion will be avaliable to buy with Gems soon.

You can buy and sell items at any of the item shops.

24. Why is the in-game help section not working?

25. How can I change where I put my stat points?
In-game, you can reset your stat points for 5 Gems, you can do this by clicking a button belox to your stat points in the character & equipment screen.

26. How can I remove spells from the spell bar?
You can add or remove spells or skills from the skill bar by dragging-and-dropping to and from your spell/skill book.

27. I want to add a new monster/item/spell/npcs to the Databases! Is there an easy way to create the icons?
Using the Logger you can select an option so that the icons of everything in your inventory/skill book are saved. The save destination will be whichever folder the Logger is saved in. You can make .gifs if the monsters by downloading this small program which will allow you to make transparent .gifs of the monsters.

28. What do AGI/INT/STR/STA do? Where should I put my stat points?

One point in Agility (AGI)gives you +2 Armor and +0.07 Critical %, some Weapons also require Agility to equip, to get 100% Critical you need 1330 Agility. One point in Intellect (INT) gives you +15 Maximum MP and increases your MP recovery rate, some Spells also require Intellect to use. One point in Strength gives you +1 ATK Power, some Weapons also require Strength to equip.One point in Stamina (STA)gives you +10 Maximum HP. Some Armors also require Stamina to equip.
Put your points into STR for a warrior, AGI for an archer and INT for a mage.

29. What language is the game written in?

The game is made in Adobe Flash CS3.

30. Are there any in-game commands?

Yes, there are several. Just type them in the chatbox and press enter.


/w [name] [message] --- This will whisper to the person with your message. Noone will be able to read it but them.
/t [name] [message] --- This will whisper to the person with your message. Noone will be able to read it but them.
/g [message] --- This will talk so everyone can read it.
/online --- This will tell you how many players are online.
/pos --- Tells your position on the map in the form of coordinates.
Shift + R --- Whispers back to the last person who whispered to you.

31. What is the Rest System?

The rest system is a feature that simulates player exhaustion. This is because it is very hard to fight evil monsters every day. So you need to rest.
There are three different states: "Rested", "Tired" and "Exhausted".
You start with 2 x xp gain when you are "Rested".
At a certain point you will get tired and it will go down to 1 x xp gain when you are "Tired".
Then it becomes 1/2 x xp gain when you are "Exhausted".

When you rest you will get either 10K rested xp or the current level's xp requirement as rested xp.

Every 3 hours (on relog/login) you will be given 1/8 of the total current rest possible, with a full refresh at 24 hours.

33. How can I sell items on Mac OS X?

34. Is there a level cap?

Currently, we do not know if there is a level cap. In v1 the level cap was 50, but you level a lot faster in the new game, so it will probably be higher, or maybe there won't be one at all!

35. Is there a was to increase character speed, or travel?

There is going to be some sort of teleportation available to players, which will allow you to travel insantly, but there are no plans to be able to increase character speed as of now.

36. How does the Bank system work?

All you have to do is pay 40 Gems, and then you can store any items you want in the bank, forever. This is especially useful if you need a lot of space in your inventory!

37. How do bags work?

You can buy bags from the Gem Shop for a price of 10 Gems each, and have up to 4 extra bags. These allow you to have a lot more space (8 slots per bag), which can be very useful.

38. Why can't I register on the Wiki?

If you are a facebook user you'll need to register on the forum. Use that account then to register on the Wiki. Make sure that you check upper and lower case when you register. The name is case sensitive!

- q18 link "make an account" to this link and add "[change it] using the edit button".
- q21 add note that change appearance potion will come
- qXX between 22 and 23 doesnt have a number!
