Default For high level veterans....

So a great many of us have been level 36 and beyond for over a month now and every day I see more and more joining the ranks...

What keeps you playing? What keeps you logging on every day? I ask because technically, there is nothing to do. The daily quests, while available, don't offer us enough xp to level unless we do them for months running and the particular creatures we have to kill in those daily's don't drop worthwhile loot. There's always the market but with the recent economy crash, listing has been very very risky.

What will continue to keep you playing? What will bring you back to the game every day?

Lets discuss some things that would help some of the more hardcore players retain interest in this game. Let's also try to avoid the obvious NEW ZONE! kind of discussions as they'll come eventually. What are some daily activities that you feel would give you some renewed vigor in this game?

Please be descriptive.

We all say CRAFTING! but what does that consist of to you? How is that a fulfilling daily activity. How would guilds keep you interested? What about pets? What about some entirely new ideas that create daily draw for the high level player?

What keeps me playing?

-The game's artistic style, brings back old memories from past 8bit/16bit games, I love that. The hilarious NPC dialogue and almost parodied like items, and last the people I've met on this game.

Will I continue to play? What brings me back everyday?

-Yes, of course. What brings me back is the community.

What will help me stay here?

-
Crafting, Guilds, Quests, Mounts, and the much awaited rumoured Pink Tutu.

Ok why?

What happens when you've crafted all you can craft? Or in most of our cases, are no longer able to make money off it in the market

What is it about guilds that you think would be interesting beyond the continued social aspect?

Quests will come with new zones.

And mounts, once you've hit your max level and all there is left to do is stand in town w/ your mount, whats the draw?

Just pushing you to flesh out your ideas

Well I guess I will just craft for fun, give to newbies. Then just wait
for new craftable items (I want a ballista)

Guilds would just be plainly awesome, I'm personally waiting for them
so I can join echo's guild.

I'm going to skip quests since they come with new areas.

Mounts, well who wouldnt want to show up on noob island riding a flying ostrich wearing a pink tutu with a ballista on its back? We could have
Mount races and whatever other crazy shenanigans we come up with.

I'll challenge you further. Guilds would just be plainly awesome. WHY?? What do you want out of a guild? A guild is not going to be plainly awesome just BECAUSE it's a guild. What are it's qualities? What does it do? How does it change your experience in game? What is unique about it?

Mounts - you show up on noob island riding a flying ostrich wearing a pink tutu w/ a ballista. Thats fun once. Then? How can you develop yourself in game w/ this? Do you level your mount? Customize it? Give it skills? How is your mount going to make you UNIQUE from everyone else?

High Scores.

Separate website: http://www.fantasy-mmorpg.com/highscores.php <- this doesn't work. Hope it will some day.

This shouldn't be a problem for developers. Simple php script that take data from database and shows top 100 (maybe 200) players in different categories. Categories are obvious I think.

Another high scores for guilds would be also nice.

Possibly change to kong high scores so every time you complete daily quest it add +1 to quests completed.

Guilds, well I really don't even have an idea to begin with on how guilds work. Guilds were back in the middle ages were just associations of craftsmen, something along a fraternity, but in MMOs I think they're just a place for a group of friends or high level players gather together to have I dunno rivalries with others, maybe they're just like the forum groups except in the game. Perhaps each guild has a specialty, something that the guild leader chooses before creating it. Lets say each guild can have a special attribute, such as this guild gives you 10% more gold from monster drops, that guild gives you an extra 5% Health, or that guild gives you an extra XP bonus for each kill. That could be how guilds work.

Mounts, well I really just find these to be fun, but they could go much deeper than a faster traveling option. There could be Mount Races as in
Horse races, have some sort of betting system for it. Mounts could be used to send stuff to banks when you're far away. For example you're in a dungeon/cave/temple/jungle and you're backpack is full so you send your mount to empty your back pack in your bank, that would be most certainly helpful.

Good one. I think some FO sponsored ladders would be fun. Ought to be reasonably painless to integrate.

Highest Level
Highest Critical (though the db might struggle to contain that much data)
Highest Normal Strike (same as above)
Most Gold
Most Gems
Most Zombeets Slayed
Most Times Visited Plastic Surgeon
Most Deaths
Etc.

Thing about the Guilds that will keep me palying : )

Guilds competitions - one week (or 2 days) long competitions, each week different task: zombeets killed, coins gathered, etc. This will require another high scores site to track guilds progress during competitions.

Make guilds like 10 (15 maybe) ppl max. This way there won't be just one super guild but guilds will fight for more active players.

Think about who can invite new ppl to a guild:
1) Only guild founder - not a good idea whole guild will die if this person stops playing.
2) ...

edit: A price for winning competitions for all members of course
