Think about who can invite new ppl to a guild:
1) Only guild founder - not a good idea whole guild will die if this person stops playing.
2) ...
getting off topic, suggestions.. eh..

What keeps me playing-

Money grinding for that glorious day I finally get halo

What brings me back everyday-

all the cool people and the above

What will help me stay here-

Crafting and pets if they can level, y'know grueling stuff. Guilds would be nice too

Well I just got to the level cap of 36 yesterday, but that's because there really isn't anything to do. I get on when I'm feeling bored and sick. I Definitely know I wouldn't have gotten this high of a level if there wasn't that bonus exp weekend a little while ago.

The main reason I keep logging in is to see how things happen. The game is dynamic. If it wasn't updated so regularly, I wouldn't be interested in it at all. The game it is today may not be the same game tomorrow, and that interests me.

I really hope there is some end-game material to liven the game up. Like a dungeon that scales to your party members levels so that it'll always be challenging. Or a minigame like fishing around the world. Or even better, some kind of player versus player.

In the end, it doesn't really take a whole lot of effort to keep meeting the new level cap after every update, so I'll just keep coming by every now and then until something comes along that really hooks me in.

I keep logging on to pass time and keep committed to a game for a pro-longed period of time. For the past 2 years I have played dozens of games and quit them all.
This game has such satisfying simplicity to play, a perfect sized community and graphics that no one can complain on. If I were to play this game without knowing or having social relations with others, my game play on FO would not persist anymore.
One other thing is that I am very curious to observe how much the demand for Halos have been rising.
Who knows how much they will be worth a year from now should the game continue to grow at this rate? That question keeps me wondering

One thing that could be done is to use a change chat option. normal chat, guild chat, group chat.

Im the same, but not as dedicated as you guys, because I can get bored with old games like this when i hit the end, so my idea to not be stuck just grinding for coins, and waiting to level up on unchanging monsters would be to have an arena system. Two of them, both apart from main area via teleport(such as teleport to pirate island, or caves)
This would make it easier to make a zone PVP, and have no glitches with people killing people. To add onto that, you could have a pvp switch for this, so people outside have it always off, while people inside have it on, and set so that, if you have no switch on, you take no damage from another player or their spells.
Monster arena. Randomly generates monsters to fight against. This could have a program to increase monster lvl each fight, so a player could see how strong he/she is. Monsters, until it passes the current highest level monster, would drop items as normal. Could also use this to make a monster drawing contest.

For the mount making, again, you could use people to get ideas all the time. I think the idea of having a mount as a pet would be a way to repeat the game, so you would must to go back to the start, talk to the guy, and level the pet up as you would your player, except while riding it. The pet would attack instead of you, and your player could get a small percentage of the exp(i.e your pet makes 100 exp, you get 5 of that)

Same.

Similar to what Kainui said I'm waiting for something that will reel me in. The novelty of Swamp Grotto wore off pretty fast. Mainly due to its uncanniness to The Cave of Some Return. Please no more dark areas, especially caves!!

Things that would keep me playing FO daily

PVP - I am very competitive and cant wait for this to be introduced!

Crafting/Resources - A different way to make money/help newbs. May even make some of these worthless drops less worthless! Resource gathering would be cool. Mining/smithing perhaps?

Moderating - I would very much like to help moderate chat, as there never seems to be a mod around when you need one. Its very clear more moderators are required.

Guilds - If/when this is introduced it will be very popular. Accompanied with PVP there could be Guild battles. Guilds would generally increase the competitiveness, bring 'guild mates' closer and add more PURPOSE!

------

Just throwing a few things out there. Nice thread Echo
