Talking What can your guild offer me?

(mods feel free to move to guild discussion but was hoping to also get a thread of gaming experience too)

I'm a long-time MMORPG player who recently found Fantasy Online a couple weeks ago. Level 51 now and still fairly noobish. Looking to join a well-spoken (extremely important. If I join your guild and find out everyone chats with 12-year old grammar I will be disappointed and leave. Just one of my pet peeves) guild with a fun, laidback atmosphere. I will probably be a warrior once I respec my horribly chosen skill points since I've crafted a lot of the armor and weapons.

I'm a pretty active player and my job allows me to play maybe 20% during the day although I'll have to minimize the screen a lot when the boss comes back . We have our first child on the way (due in early February) though so I don't know how much free time I'll have after that.

Here is a not so brief history of the games I played the most:

In the mid 90's I probably logged more hours playing Quake online with my friends then I spent at highschool. Would jump on quake.mint.net every night and play so late that some nights I didn't even go to sleep. That's what the busride is for, right? Not to brag but we were insanely good.

Late 90's I played a lot of Subspace. Played lots of Superships and CTF zones.

Back in 2001-2003 I played Lineage which was (and still might be?) the largest MMO in Korea played by some ridiculously high percentage of the population. I played on the PK (player killing) US server, back when there were only 2 US servers. I got my knight up to just over level 49 IIRC. The max I believe was 50.

Played several other MMOs for a couple months each; Earth & Beyond, Eve Online, and Dark Age of Camelot, but couldn't really get into any of them.

Tried out Travian for a whole server run (~year). Had a ton of fun but realized that you have no chance to compete against people who spend a ****-ton of real life money and have 3 people actively sharing one account. Still had a great run and might try another server run again

Last real MMO I played was Fallensword back around 2008-2009. Played pretty seriously for about 18 months and broke into the top 100 players. Belonged to the best guild in the game and had a ton of fun. In fact, I just logged into my account there and will tell them about trying out FO.

Feel free to pm me in-game or just reply in this thread if you think I would fit in well, or feel free to just post in this thread about your previous gaming experience.

Ask not what your guild can do for you but what you can do for your guild!

It is more of a question of which guild fits you and you try to get invited by the guild leader. It helps to know people in that guild

I thought about that, but if I respec I can use the much better armor I'm crafting as well as the Reaper of Souls weapon I'm about to craft. Respeccing only costs 5 gems which is about 40,000 gold. I would imagine I would make more than that just by being able to kill things much faster over the next ~8 levels.

You still play at all? I play Quake 3 Arena 1.16 online just about everyday, and recently got into Quake Live.

BTW the only well spoken guild is Valhalla, and it will take a while to get there. Did you read my links?
