1. Install Firefox.
2. Install the Flash 10 Debug player.
Adobe Flash Player - Downloads (http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html)
3. Find your mm.cfg which could be in these locations:
Windows; C:\Documents and Settings\username\mm.cfg
Windows 7; C:\Users\username\mm.cfg
OSX; /Library/Application Support/Macromedia/mm.cfg
Linux; home/username/mm.cfg
4. Find this line and change 1 to 0:
AS3Trace=1 # Trace every single call to any function that is being called in the SWF at runtime
5. Install Firebug.
Firebug (http://getfirebug.com/)
6. Install Flashbug.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/14465/
7. Open Firebug by clicking on the bug in the bottom right of Firefox.
8. Click on "Flash Console" and then click on the down arrow and enable it.
9. Click on Preferences in that same "Flash Console" menu and enable all check boxes.
10. Play the game with this window open at the bottom and watch for errors. and output.
11. Post RED output on the forum.

Same here, the current flash debug player seems to crash firefox/firebug even before it gets "officially" activated. -_- Dont we love Adobe...

I've found the issue. You have to change that one setting listed above in your mm.cfg file.

That didn't work for me, so I started swapping other 1's for 0's and the one that did make it work for me was AS3DynamicProfile=1 to 0. Then it started to not crash on each load. I also set AS3Verbose and AS3Trace to 0 because with those set to 1 flash was running REALLY slow. With all 3 set to 0 though, it runs pretty much like normal and I see tons of traces.

Changing the AS3Trace didn't work for me either. I'll give Iamallama's changes a shot when I get a chance.

First post instructions causes FF to crash when loading FO. Disabling Flashbug causes FO to hang.

Side note1: When I first ran FF after installing the changes I got a chrome: blah blah .xul error that debug asked me to go the flash settings manager to approve.
Side note2: First run also failed to create mm.cfg. On restart a dialog actually told me it couldn't create mm.cfg but it was now there for editing. Seems counter-intuitive so it may have been user error/trying to install all three at the same time instead of one at a time.

Checking for update extensions and restarting the PC fixed the issue without changing mm.cfg any but I'm not getting any output in flashbug; though sometimes the adobe flash itself will give me a popup.

I've tried the same thing and I'm having more success with the Flash Tracer addon. Mozilla doesn't show the latest version that works with Firefox 3.x but you can find it here. Firefox extensions - Flash Tracer (2.3.1) - sephiroth.it (http://www.sephiroth.it/firefox/flashtracer/)

Same rules apply, download and install Adobe's Flash debugger, find the flashlog.txt file to save logs to (instructions for that are given by the addon), and run it. Having far less problems with this and will post logs soon.

Let me know if this helps anyone else out.

Why do that happen? Does it happened all the time?

There is bug in some (newest) versions of flash player that makes it ignore AS3Trace setting, and we all know that with as3trace enabled it's hell breaking loose.

Gotta find versions which do not have this bug, unfortunately i don't remember which versions that were :/

this is pretty unfortunate as to the new area just being released ... but is there a way you do not have to use firefox and instead use explorer? just wondering in case theres a simpler solution... im gonna try screwing around with it if i find a solution other than any mentioned above ill post sumthin
